Henry Dundas Beatson Mctaggart

Henry Dundas Beatson Mactaggart bought 50 shares in the Picture House in 1912.

Henry was the grandson of Captain Henry Dundas Beatson, a Captain in the Royal Navy. He married Alice Moscardi, the daughter of an Italian priest Lucio Donato Moscardi.

Henry spent 30 years in India with the British Steam Navigation Company. When he retired, he gave much of his time to public service in Campbeltown.

He died eight days after being elected Provost of the Burgh. He is buried in Kilkerran Cemetery. After his death, his wife went back to Italy where she died in Alassio in 1934.
