Leeds Animation Workshop

Monday 20th May, 7.30pm

Leeds Animation Workshop is a women’s collective set up in 1978 to produce and distribute animated films on social issues. This screening will be introduced by one of L.A.W’s founding members Terry Wragg followed by a post screening Q & A. Films will include: They Call Us Maids: The Domestic Workers’ Story, about migrant domestic workers’ rights; Give Us a Smile, about sexual harassment and the objectification of women; and Did I Say Hairdressing? I Meant Astrophysics, about women in science and technology.

This project is supported by the BFI Film Audience Network as part of Changing Times: Women’s Histories.
